WHISTLESTOP was first published in National Lampoon during the Vietnam War, August 1972, when Richard Nixon was campaigning for president against George McGovern.

It was later published in the 1988 Mother Jones’ collection, “America’s Best Political Cartoons” when G.H.W.Bush (father of G.W.Bush) was running against Michael Dukakis.

Due to current requests, it is posted here again with my best wishes for a fair election in 2008 and good luck to us all.
